Specialty fabrics
If you have a cotton t-shirt, someone made it out of plain fabric. Its function is simply to cover the body to provide a minimum of warmth. Or in other words, so that a person does not cool down under the influence of weather conditions – for example, when the wind blows. The lower the temperature and the worse the conditions, the more clothes we need. Each of them is only there to serve as a covering for the body.
Now we can explain what a specialized fabric is. Well, just like the usual one, it is primarily used to cover the body, but also to protect. The simplest form of protection is, of course, to keep warm during very low temperatures. So, are insulated clothing specialized? In a way, yes. Just look at what it consists of. In addition to fabric, threads and tailoring accessories, it also has insulation.

Let’s move on. On the one hand, we have insulated clothes, so what’s on the other? Well, we have clothing there that provides maximum protection against all harsh conditions. It is the clothing of a firefighter who extinguishes fires, i.e. he has contact with a large amount of fire, water and special chemicals that facilitate extinguishing. In addition, the firefighter removes the effects of road accidents, where he must be clearly visible day and night to avoid accidental hit-and-run. The work of a firefighter sometimes also means taking a cat out of a tree. At least that’s what we’ve perpetuated in stereotypes. All these activities mean that this garment must have many different properties.
It is supposed to protect against fire, acid, be waterproof, insulated, ventilated and reflective. So, is it also specialized? It is, and extremely.
