Fluorescent knitted fabrics

Fluorescent knitted fabrics are created on the basis of a combination of two textile techniques. The first one is a product created by creating rows or columns of interconnected meshes and its greatest advantage is that it can extend in all directions. It is also worth remembering not to confuse knitted fabric with fabric, because they are not the same. We have mentioned two techniques. You already know about the first one, and the second one is about fluorescence. Thanks to it, the knitted fabric can emit light that has previously been absorbed. It is such an essence. As a result, the material that contains the substance in question can perform various tasks where visibility is needed. Among others, in the textile industry and other industries. Fluorescent knitted fabrics are a combination of these two textile techniques.

Fluorescent knitted fabrics – threads, rows and columns

The basic features of the structure of the knitted fabric are: the length of the thread in the eyelet, the row tightness, the column tightness. The length of the thread in the stitch can be counted as the section of the thread from which one stitch has been made. It is also worth knowing that when it comes to accuracy, it is the number of rows and columns. Such information allows you to plan each structure of the knitted fabric with strict accuracy. This is very necessary for production, especially mass production. If we know this information, we know how many threads we will need to produce the textile product we are interested in, and when it comes to measuring units, we usually use centimeters in knitted fabrics.

During the production of knitted fabric, we can change the structure by changing the length of the thread in the eyelet and changing the number of columns and rows. In this case, the end result will change significantly. The mixing of structures results in a variety of the final product. On the other hand, the use of a single structure gives the effect of uniformity. However, it is important to know that it is not possible to change the number of rows or the number of columns, for example, in a structure change. The values in both are determined by the length of the thread in the eyelet, but not only. For this, the weave, the properties of the yarn and the raw material itself are important.

Manufacturing Techniques

You can learn three techniques of knitted fabrication. The first is undulation. Hardly anyone uses it yet, because it is an outdated technique. Another technique is row crochet and is the basic technique of textile manufacturing today. Alternatively, you can crochet in a column layout. In the case of both, of course, you can crochet by hand, but in the production of crochet machines are used for this. These are special knitting machines that produce knitted fabrics mechanically.
