Fabrics for clothes – what will be made of them?
If, for example, we decide on a specific fabric, we still have to choose whether it should be cotton, cotton-polyester, or polyester-cotton. This choice is also important, because later the garment will behave differently when used. The material reacts differently to washing.
For example, polyester-cotton fabric is suitable for specialist clothing because it can be washed at high temperatures. On the other hand, the advantage of delicate cotton is great wearing comfort. It is worth taking into account that a given fabric, if used at home, will wear out less often than one that we use at work. Then we wash it more often, and often at high temperatures. Where it is possible to get dirty, specialized cleaning agents may be needed. That is why it will behave completely differently when using a doctor’s clothes than an office worker’s.
The choice of material is not everything. Threads are a very important factor when it comes to clothes. If we choose the best cloth in the world, but weak threads, such a garment will fall apart. Therefore, the threads must be durable, but also resistant to washes and harsh conditions. Especially when we are talking about employees who have physical or stressful tasks.
Still other clothes are made when we make them for athletes. There, softshell material is used. It is a special double coating, thanks to which we can protect ourselves from the wind and not have a problem with sweat. Especially when we hike for a long time when it’s cold. A wet back that was exposed would make us sick.
