Flame retardant threads – without them there is no specialized clothing

All that we have is suitable for the production of workwear for entire economic sectors – from rescuers, firefighters, through electricians, welders to even more specialized industries. Each of these clothes must have a decent material and decent threads. In the case of work where there is fire, sparks, heat, we need to use flame retardant threads – as well as the rest of the material. Generally, this type of clothing protects the worker from danger. The key element of this type of clothing are flame-retardant sewing threads, and this is because without them, even the best clothing would literally fall apart. Burnt threads could lead to damage to the rest of the garment.
What does the work of a firefighter look like?
Let’s take a look at the work of a firefighter. His clothes are exposed to wear and tear much more than ordinary clothes. Simple clothing, the one worn by everyone on a daily basis, does not have to be particularly durable, because a person does not function in extreme conditions. These sometimes accompany him, but this is an exception. In the case of firefighters, on the other hand, it is rather a rule.
Extinguishing a fire, removing the consequences of a road accident or a catastrophe caused by weather conditions requires many skills, but also work in various conditions. After all, we have 4 seasons, temperatures from minus a few dozen degrees to plus a few dozen, winds, rains, scorching sun. If we add to this a very hot room in which there is a fire, we have a full range of conditions in which a firefighter works. Therefore, his clothing must be resistant to these conditions, but not only. Clothes must also be clean, which is why workwear is washed intensively, at high water temperatures, in specialized chemicals. Therefore, the materials and threads must also be ready for something like this.
